Speaker 4: What's up with all the jeans?
Speaker 5: So, you're probably wondering ... What's up with all of the jeans? Well in 2006 Hope
started collecting denim as a way of helping people feel comfortable about their jeans,
both denim jeans and their genetics.
Speaker 6: I'm comfortable with my body.
Speaker 1: I love my jeans.
Speaker 3: Be comfortable in your jeans.
Speaker 7: By using denim we're able to open up doors of communications to talk about feeling
good in your shape and also to talk about positive body image. And remember, it's for
men, too.
Speaker 1: If you are looking for a fun community service project that will help others in multiple
ways, start a Blue Jeans for True Jeans campaign today.
Speaker 6: Go to your school, community organizations, Churches, even your neighbors, family and
friends and ask them to clean out their closets and donate jeans that no longer fit them
or ones that they don't feel comfortable in.
Speaker 1: Get rid of the ones that don't fit.
Speaker 2: Encourage them to stop squeezing into or falling out of jeans that are not the right size
for their shape.
Speaker 1: Don't let the size on the label dictate how you feel about yourself.
Speaker 3: Find an organization that you want to donate your jeans to after they've been collected.
Some examples of organizations are women's shelters, homeless shelters, foster
children, rehabilitation clinics and even the Salvation Army and Goodwill. Remember to
sort them and clean them if necessary.
Speaker 4: Make the delivery. It's amazing to help your community.
Speaker 8: In four years Hope's collected over eight thousand pair of jeans and delivered them to
organizations all over the world. Not only are you cleaning out your closet but you're
helping your community as well. Start a Blue Jeans for True Jeans campaign today.
